Bowling Green Shuts Out Quad Cities

The Quad Cities River Bandits were held hitless Monday until Victor Sanchez (1-for-3) hit a single with one out in the fifth inning. Quad Cities lost 6-0 to the Bowling Green Hot Rods in front of 1,948 fans on a steamy Monday afternoon at Modern Woodmen Park, The Bandits were held scoreless for the first time since a June 9 shutout to the Lansing Lugnuts.
After winning seven-of-eight games to open a homestand, manager Johnny Rodriguez expected more than he got in Monday's finale from the Quad-Cities River Bandits.
