Outfielder Allen Craig is about two weeks away from coming back to the Majors, manager Tony La Russa said Friday. Craig is currently working out with Triple-A Memphis, but he has not yet begun playing games.

The Cardinals have shut down reliever Eduardo Sanchez indefinitely after the right-hander experienced additional shoulder discomfort during a rehab stint with Double-A Springfield, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and MLB.com reported from Cincinnati.
