Albert Pujols Activated, Set To Play Wednesday

Add another tool to Albert Pujols' already prodigious set of abilities. He has once again displayed a staggering capacity for healing.
Perhaps Albert Pujols is a machine. Defying initial projections that he would miss four to six weeks due to a hairline fracture of the distal tip of his left radius, Pujols has received medical clearance to return to the Cardinals just 16 days after suffering the injury.
Expected to be out for another two to four weeks, St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols instead was cleared by doctors to return Tuesday night, pending the results of a pregame workout, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Tuesday afternoon.
At a press conference on June 20 to announce Albert Pujols would miss four to six weeks with a broken left wrist, St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa joked that he was going to go find a quiet place to go cry.
Albert Pujols senses the urgency, and so do the St. Louis Cardinals.
