Tyler Henley Doubles, Homers, & Drives In Five Runs In Grand Prairie 25-11
Grand Prairie scored 10 runs in the first inning alone on its way to a 25-11 win against El Paso. Designated hitter Cesar Nicolas, catcher Zane Chavez and right fielder Tyler Henley each batted in five Grand Prairie runs, and four different AirHogs had four hits. In the top of the sixth, Henley hit a grand slam, and the AirHogs combined for a total of eight runs in the inning. Grand Prairie tallied 24 total hits while El Paso had 18. The Diablos scored a pair of runs in three different innings and came out strong in the bottom of the fourth with the help of a Manuel Mejia home run, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the heat from the AirHogs’ bats. Jon Hunton, now 2-0 on the season, earned the win by allowing no hits, no runs and striking out two in one inning pitched.
