The Springfield Cardinals opened the second series of the homestand tonight against the San Antonio Missions. Bids were taken through out the game as the Cardinals sported Kids Handprint Jerseys to benefit of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The first-place San Antonio Missions jumped an erratic Scott Schneider for five first-inning runs, and 21-year-old lefty Juan Oramas pitched five scoreless innings, dealing the Springfield Cardinals a 8-2 loss Saturday night at Hammons field.
