We've all heard it a thousand times by now. Offense league-wide is down this year, and that comes on the heels of last year's decline. Runs per game has not been this low (4.17) since 1992 (4.12), and that follows from a decline in home runs per game (0.88 this year, lowest since 1992 - 0.72).
