Lance Berkman Unfazed By May Downturn; Ryan Theriot Playing Through Defensive Slump; Colby Rasmus Out With Stomach Issue; Tony LaRussa' s Return Date
For the first month of the season, all the talk about Cardinals right fielder Lance Berkman's best days being in the past seemed silly. Berkman, who hit just .248 last season for the Astros and Yankees, led the National League with a 1.217 on-base-plus-slugging percentage in April.
