Cardinals Minor Leaguer Deryk Hooker made his first scoreless appearance of 2011 a memorable one, blanking heavy-hitting Northwest Arkansas over seven frames Wednesday. Hooker had also faced the Naturals in his previous outing, in which they got to him for four runs over six innings. Apparently learning from that loss, he got his first win of 2011 this week. He surrendered a walk and a single in the first and another walk in the fifth and another single in the seventh but was otherwise perfect, striking out four.
