After four scoreless frames from both team, the River Bandits opened up the scoring in the fifth, plating two runs on a two-RBI double from left-fielder Virgil Hill. The Bandits then held on for a 2-1 victory over Kane County.
This time, Trevor Rosenthal was rewarded for his work.
The Quad-Cities right-hander, who did not factor into the decision when he struck out 11 batters over four innings in the River Bandits' season opener, earned the victory Wednesday in a 2-1 matinee at Kane County.
