Tony LaRussa Heaps Praise On Jim Edmonds; Mark McGwire's Attack; Ect...
Cardinals manager Tony La Russa admitted that he and former star center fielder Jim Edmonds haven't always seen eye-to-eye. But a day after Edmonds, bothered by a partially torn Achilles' tendon, announced his retirement rather than trying to make the Cardinals' club as a non-roster player, La Russa talked rather glowingly Saturday of the eight years they spent together.
