Joe Magrane On The Fast Lane 2-16-11
Joe: The Cardinals will be better off if the numbers on both sides of the Pujols deal don't get out. It appears that the Pujols camp was locked in on the 10 year deal. I don't blame the Cards organization for being a little skeptical. Paying a player that much money into his early 40s could very well cripple an organization. Albert is an Iconic player and person in the community, I don't want to see him play anywhere else but in St. Louis. Albert Pujols exemplifies everything about being a Cardinal and I don't want to see him play for anyone else. I would say that I'm hopeful that Albert will be a Cardinal when this is all said and done.
