Bernie Bytes 2-17-11: Albert Pujols Wins The Spin
When Albert Pujols is in the mood, he can really turn on the charm in a way that makes him warm, friendly and extremely likeable. No. 5 was certainly was on his game Thursday in Jupiter, when he said all of the right things in 24 minutes of smooth diplomacy in giving his side to the St. Louis Cardinals-Pujols contract impasse. From a PR standpoint, Pujols hit it out of the ballpark Thursday. Pujols stressed that there were no hard feelings after this failed round of negotiations and that there was still a chance to work out an agreement after the season.
