On the eve of his expected arrival at Roger Dean Stadium for spring training and hours after negotiations ended on a new contract with the St. Louis Cardinals, three-time MVP Albert Pujols released a statement to select media outlets through his representative.
Nine hours after his self-imposed deadline to negotiate a contract extension passed, Albert Pujols broke his silence and made what could be his final public comments on negotiations with the St. Louis Cardinals, saying he and agent Dan Lozano "strongly feel" that tabling negotiations is the best course of action.
