Greg said that Albert Pujols is the best baseball player in the world and the Cards are going to have to pay him that way. Greg said that the Cards can get away with giving Pujols a 10 year deal worth 30 million a year. Greg said that the Pujols camp wants either a 10 year contract or 30 million a year. Greg went on to talk about Prince Fielder who will get 15.5 millions next year from the Brewers. He thinks that some MLB people are turned off by Fielder's weight problems. Greg pointed out the 2 areas that make Pujols the best player, his career batting average and his low number of strikeouts per year. Those 2 numbers seperate him from everyone else in the game. The Cardinals need Albert Pujols more than Albert Pujols needs the Cardinals.
