Sparky Anderson Mentored Tony LaRussa, Others In Baseball
On Tony La Russa's long drive home from St. Louis to northern California after the season, one of the people the Cardinals manager dialed up on his cell phone was George "Sparky" Anderson, the Hall of Fame manager who is the only one besides La Russa to win World Series in both leagues.
