Edwin Encarnacion Claimed Off Waivers By Athletics

It seemed a foregone conclusion that the Blue Jays would part ways with third baseman Edwin Encarnacion at some point this offseason. That decision came on Friday, when Toronto allowed Encarnacion to be claimed off waivers by Oakland.
