Bill DeWitt III On The Bob Shelton Show 10-19-10

Cardinals President, Bill DeWitt III joins Bob on the show to discuss Tony's decision to return for another year. Bill says at the end of the day they have been pleased with Tony's work and the team is excited he is back. Bill says the mutual option will help with the process for contracts next season. Bill says that communication issues and being able to get on the same page is part of the reason for Marty Mason's dismisal. Bill says his father Mr. Dewitt, Mozeliak, and Tony are constantly talking to improve for next season. Bill says one of Mozeliak hopes for next season is to pick up a bat at middle infield. Bill said he wants Mark McGuire back for next season and he thinks the players responded well to him as well.
