he Cardinals agreed to terms with RHP Carlos Matias for $1.5 million earlier this summer, but the team is still trying to get Matias and his high-90s fastball into the U.S. In the meantime, Matias is toying with Dominican Summer League hitters. Matias struck out 10 over seven scoreless, no-hit innings yesterday, dropping his ERA down to 0.82 in 55 innings to go with 70 strikeouts .
