Manny Acta Says Anthony Reyes Needs Mechanical Adjustments

Anthony Reyes' comeback has been interrupted by one or more flaws in his delivery.

After Reyes gave up seven runs on one hit and six walks in only one inning during a rehab start for Akron Aug. 11, he was shut down to work on his windup.

''He threw a bullpen yesterday,'' manager Manny Acta said. ''He's going to throw one more then pitch at Lake County, maybe next Monday. He's been going through some mechanical adjustments. This is nothing physical.''

Reyes has been recovering from elbow reconstruction surgery last year but still is expected to pitch in some capacity for the Tribe in September.

''That's the plan unless he takes a step back,'' Acta said.
