Lou Piniella To Retire Today, Sites Family Health Issues As Reason
Lou Piniella today announced he has elected to step down as manager of the Chicago Cubs following this afternoon's game against the Atlanta Braves at Wrigley Field for family reasons. (Editor's Note: Piniella's mother has been in failing health for some time).
