Kelvin Jimenez Picks Up Fourth Loss In KBO

KIA 6, Doosan 2
W - Son Yeong-min (3-5), L - Kelvin Jiminez (12-4)
KIA HR - Kim Sang-hyeon (12) Doosan - None

Doosan starter Kelvin Jiminez actually pitched fairly well...until he ran out of gas and got into trouble in the eighth inning. Facing a 2-1 deficit, KIA loaded the bases with one out. First baseman Choi Hee-seop singled to left to tie the game at two. KIA DH Kim Sang-hyeon blasted the first pitch he saw from Jiminez over the right field wall for a grand slam. Kim's blast gave KIA a 6-2 lead. Jiminez threw 7 1/3 innings(113 pitches, 69 strikes) and was charged with all six KIA runs. Jiminez allowed four hits, four walks and a hit batsman while striking out five. KIA starter Lee Dae-jin didn't figure in the decision, but he did a good job of keeping his team in the game. Lee threw five shutout innings(86 pitches, 48 strikes). Lee allowed three hits and four walks while striking out four.
