And the Cardinals, according to clubs that have spoken with them, now believe there's almost no chance Houston would deal Oswalt to them. Meanwhile, clubs all over the sport are wondering just how interested Astros owner Drayton McLane is in trading Oswalt at all, unless it's a slam-dunk overpayment.
