Huge Win For Batavia: Batavia 8 Williamsport 1
The Muckdogs continued their march towards the top of the Pinckney Division last night, beating Williamsport by a score of 8-1. With the win, Batavia moves within two games of division leading Jamestown and only 1 game out of the Wild Card spot. After struggling out of the gate, the Muckdogs seem to have found a perfect combination of timely hitting and much improved pitching. Throw in a shutdown closer in Jose Rada (a la Adam Reifer circa 2008) and this team is starting to resemble that of the 2008 NYPL Champions.
