Bernie Bytes 7-23-10: Dealing With Astros Could Be Difficult

In the midst of all the Roy Oswalt talk, are we forgetting that the Cardinals are still in need of offense? The reminder was delivered Thursday when the Cardinals managed one hit (and no runs) in 11 innings vs. Philadelphia. The Cardinals have scored 3 or fewer runs in 37 games this season. And 2 or fewer runs in 31 games. They've been shut out eight times. They've been held to one run 12 times. You can certainly make a case that the biggest need is a middle-infield bat.
