Padres reliever Luke Gregerson finally allowed a baserunner on Tuesday night. But not before setting a club record.
By striking out the first two batters he faced in the seventh inning, Gregerson set a franchise mark for a reliever by sitting down 26 consecutive batters. Craig Lefferts, who retired 24 consecutive from April 19-29, 1984, held the previous record.
