Brendan Ryan's average isn't really plummeting anymore, because once you get under .100, each succeeding out doesn't change the number appreciably. After a nothing-for-two night Wednesday, Ryan is down to .083 but, in the Cardinals' 2-1 win over the Houston Astros at Busch Stadium, his night was considered a definite plus.
