Former Metropolitanos Warriors catcher Maikel Piñeiro worked out recently for scouts in Florida according to a Cuban Ball Players source. There were fifteenth MLB teams in attendance and many were impressed by his defensive skills and above MLB average arm. Piñeiro also showed some pop with the bat.
