The ailments experienced by Albert Pujols (back) and Matt Holliday (rib cage) aren’t a big deal, per se. (Let’s hope not, anyway). But shortstop Brendan Ryan was also a non-starter at the outset of camp as he rehabbed from wrist surgery.
