Catcher Maikel Piñeiro had a tryout for several MLB teams recently. Many scouts in attendance were impressed by his defensive abilities according to a Cuban Ball Players source. The left hitting catcher will probably enter the 2010 June Draft and not pursue free agency in a third country.
