As mentioned in the paper earlier this week, St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jaime Garcia used his time rehabbing from Tommy John surgery to also, essentially, relearn his delivery. According to Garcia and the coach he worked with, the lefty would lunge or jump from the rubber late in the game or in pressure situations. The result was an erratic delivery, one that led to command troubles and overall inconsistency.
