Colby Lewis, RHP, free agent - He is an American pitching in Japan for Hiroshima, where he posted records of 15-8 (2.68 ERA) and 11-9 (2.96) the past two seasons. Originally drafted by the Rangers in 1999, Lewis hurt his shoulder and reinvented himself in Japan. Now he’s on the verge of signing a multiyear deal with one of six major league teams (the Sox not among them), and will likely be a fourth or fifth starter. His decision is expected next week
