When the St. Louis Cardinals rolled into Denver on the verge of clinching the National League Central at Coors Field, Scott Boras was there, in person, to see it. While his client, outfielder Matt Holliday, warmed up for his batting-practice swings, Boras stood near the seats behind home plate, greeted Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak and a few moments later, to a reporter, described the kind of player Holliday is and the type of contract that kind of player commands.
