With Redbird fans pining away for the ultimate Christmas present, Matt Holliday, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that another decade of Cardinal baseball has come and gone. It was a brilliant stretch that saw seven playoff runs, two World Series appearances, one championship, an All Star Game, a Rookie of the Year award, three MVPs and a Cy Young. The Decade of Albert was good to Cardinal Nation, and to the city of St. Louis, so it’s only fitting that we take some time to reminisce and mull over some of the most touching, joyous and unbelievable memories before the year comes to a close.
