Cardinals Leaders Of The 1910's

During the teens in the last century several things happened that were important to the Cardinals and their future. First was the Robison brothers both died and left the team to Helene Britton who became the first woman owner in MLB history. She in turn sold the team to local owners who sold it to Breadon. Branch Rickey came into the fold and so did Rogers Hornsby. So, while the Cardinals were the only team not to win a pennant in the NL during the teens, the pieces were coming together to begin the ascendancy of the Redbirds to the top of the NL and eventually the World Championship.
