The Cardinals completed the deal for starting pitcher Brad Penny on Tuesday, and while they are content with their rotation they are not closing the door on adding another free agent, short-term arm before spring.

Cardinals manager Tony La Russa said Tuesday that he still doesn’t know when new hitting coach Mark McGwire will address the media but he expects it will happen in the next few weeks.
