While they wait on their biggest target, the Cardinals moved close to addressing their second-most compelling move on Monday. Though general manager John Mozeliak stopped short of confirming a contract with Brad Penny, he nonetheless made it clear that an agreement with the free-agent right-hander is in the offing.
