The Springfield Cardinals have added another key element to their full-time staff, announcing that former Major League Pitcher and current City Councilman, Scott Bailes will join the club as the Manager of Market Development. Bailes, who pitched in the major leagues for nine seasons over a 13-year career, will help lead the Cardinals Marketing and Sales department in corporate and ticket sales efforts along with being a Cardinals ambassador throughout the community and assisting with special projects for the team.
