1930's Gashouse Era, Part Two

1934 came and the Cardinals got off to a slow start. But, the Redbirds won 25 of their last 30 games to win the NL pennant by 2 games with a 95-58 ,621 record. Dizzy Dean won 30 games and the Redbirds led the NL with a .288 Ba, a .425 SLG PCT., 69 SB, and 799 runs scored. The Cardinals then met the Tigers in the Series and won it all in 7 games.
