Those “strong considerations” manager Tony La Russa said third baseman Troy Glaus was receiving for the postseason roster are actually relative certainties. The St. Louis Cardinals plan to put the former All-Star third baseman and World Series MVP on the postseason roster as a righthanded bat for the bench. Glaus had a couple hits last week in Cincinnati, and that was about the best day he’s had since January shoulder surgery robbed him of the entire season.
