The Cardinals engaged in a lengthy, spring training-style workout Monday at Busch Stadium in which catcher Yadier Molina tested his sore left knee at first base. Manager Tony La Russa said he was encouraged about Molina's condition but also later identified his Gold Glove catcher as "the guy you go in (the series) with your fingers crossed."
