Skip Schumaker Is A .300 Hitter Again; Albert Pujols Sets Another Record; World Series Tickets; David Freese Catching

Cardinals manager Tony La Russa was prepared to lift second baseman Skip Schumaker after one at-bat Sunday if he made an out to make sure the converted outfielder hit .300 for the second year in a row. La Russa didn't have to do that because Schumaker got hits in his first two at-bats and finished at .303, a laudable achievement considering Schumaker had to spend much more time on his defense during the spring and into the season than he ever had as an outfielder.
