There are a handful of notable free agents, including pitcher Jason Marquis, Joe Beimel, Jason Giambi and Jose Contreras. With the return of Jeff Francis, Marquis isn't expected to be re-signed. Giambi, if he could get enough at-bats, will seriously consider the Rockies. Con-treras is open to returning because of how he clicked with pitching coach Bob Apodaca. Said Beimel: "I would like to be back here. Hopefully, they feel the same."
