After the A's final game of the season, Clayton Mortensen issued an emotional apology after his arrest for suspected drunk driving. He was not allowed to provide any details, upon advice of legal counsel, and he did not specify what he was apologizing for, but the apology seemed heartfelt. Here's some of what he had to say:

Aaron Miles (Cubs):
Cubs fans should know Aaron Miles is more upset about this season than anyone else. The infielder, who entered Saturday's play batting .185, won't use injuries as an excuse, but heading into the offseason, he's still bothered by his right elbow. He doesn't need surgery, just rest.

Ronnie Belliard (Dodgers):
Kemp and Andre Ethier emerged as prime-time hitters, while Blake and James Loney were steady gloves on the corners and productive bats in the middle of the order. Rafael Furcal and Russell Martin were subpar offensively, but not defensively. Orlando Hudson had an All-Star first half, then the late addition of Ronnie Belliard's hot bat again showed how valuable a bench can be when it has veterans like Belliard, Juan Pierre, Brad Ausmus, Mark Loretta and Juan Castro.

David Eckstein (Padres):
Of course, the old standbys weren't so bad either, like Eckstein, who Sunday helped the Padres get back into a game they trailed 3-0, hitting a two-run home run to trim the Giants' lead to 3-2 in the seventh inning.

J.D. Drew (Red Sox):
The Sox used the home run ball to do their damage the rest of the way, plating eight unanswered runs from the fourth through sixth innings thanks to swats from Drew (two solo blasts), Lowrie (first career grand slam) and Dustin Pedroia (two-run shot).

Miguel Cairo (Phillies):
FOR MUCH OF the season, Miguel Cairo was the forgotten man. A strong spring training earned him a spot on the Opening Day roster, but a 2-for-17 performance in his first 15 games, along with the need for a roster spot, convinced the Phillies to outright him to Triple A Lehigh Valley in mid-May.

Felipe Lopez (Brewers):
