Sign a proven starter. With Webb, Haren and Max Scherzer, we're thinking Brad Penny or Jason Marquis would give the Diamondbacks one of the National League's better starting rotations. Marquis, who gets a fair share of ground balls, would be a good fit for Chase Field. Plus, he's a good-luck charm; every team he's been on in his 10-year career has reached the postseason. If he's too expensive, there's Penny, who seems to love pitching in the NL West.
