Cardinal's successful run in the playoffs was the economic elixir many area businesses were counting on. The signs still hang in downtown St. Louis, as the tents and tables are still set up at Paddy O's. It's all a reminder of what could have been. Cardinals fan Jim Cooper said, "It would have brought in a lot of business. It definitely would have helped the economy."
