Once righthander Kyle Lohse rejoined the team Saturday night after attending services in California for his cousin, who died tragically after a jet ski accident, the Cardinals’ starting pitchers had their meeting as they do every series to go over the opposition hitters. Righthander Todd Wellemeyer, whose last start was two weeks ago Sunday, was in that meeting. And for good reason.
