Rehabbing righty Todd Wellemeyer reported no ill effects on Tuesday after throwing a second bullpen session, as he continues to recover from inflammation in his right shoulder.

Cardinals righthander Todd Wellemeyer, disabled for three weeks with an elbow inflammation, threw his first bullpen session this afternoon at Busch Stadium since he went on the DL. Manager Tony La Russa, while liking the way Wellemeyer threw the ball, said another similar session was necessary before Wellemeyer could pitch. “He’s making progress,” said La Russa.
