St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols, fresh from his Kansas City power binge, has reasserted his claim to the most votes among National League players for the All-Star Game. Pujols bounded past Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase Utley to recapture the lead he’s had every week save for last, according the vote totals released Monday by Major League Baseball.

Major League Baseball will release one more round of updated voting for the National League before the starting lineup for the 80th All-Star Game will be announced in early July. And in the penultimate update of votes total so far, only two spots appear to be undecided, barring that 11th-hour gush of online voting that scrambles some of the other positions.
