St. Louis' Rick Ankiel drew the ire of the Rockies when he talked trash to Jorge De La Rosa during an at-bat in the seventh inning Friday. With the Rockies leading 11-1, Ankiel screamed at De La Rosa to challenge him with fastballs rather than sliders. Catcher Paul Phillips retorted with a wisecrack and De La Rosa kept jawing with Ankiel after the outfielder doubled.
"Ankiel was totally wrong. That was ridiculous," Rockies hitting instructor Don Baylor said. "We don't have a problem with their team. We had a problem with him."
