Filming for the movie "Moneyball," starring Brad Pitt as A's General Manager Billy Beane, has been suspended by Columbia
Pictures. Shooting was to begin today, but Columbia Pictures president Amy Pascal found the final draft of the script too different from earlier versions and placed the movie in "limited turnaround," according to a story by Variety.
That means filmmakers can shop the movie to another distributor. If another company doesn't take the movie, or if Pascal and the screenwriters can't agree on a script, the movie could be abandoned, Variety reported.

Columbia Pictures has dropped the ball on “Moneyball,” the Steven Soderbergh-directed Brad Pitt starrer that was supposed to begin production on Monday in Phoenix.
On Friday, Columbia Pictures topper Amy Pascal placed the picture into “limited turnaround,” giving the filmmaker the chance to set it up at another studio, with Warner Bros. and Paramount the prime targets.
